The European network Future for Religious Heritage (FRH) will have its Biennial Conference from 9-11 November 2016 in Vicenza, Italy. Once again, it will bring together those committed to save and promote religious heritage across Europe (and beyond). Registration is open and you are welcome to join.
The Conference "Tourists, Travellers and Pilgrims: Encountering Religious Heritage in Today’s Europe" will examine pilgrimage in both its traditional and modern sense. As such, it will likewise be an example of how to involve and engage people in religious heritage.
Some extremely interesting experts and scholars will share their views with us in Vicenza. FRH is proud to announce the key note speech by Prof. David Freedberg who is best known for his work on psychological responses to art and his studies on iconoclasm and censorship, and Mr Stefano Dominioni, Director of the European Institute of Cultural Routes. FRH will also hold its Annual General Meeting in which its current activities and future plans will be debated.
The programme includes on-site study cases for the Conference participants through multiple heritage visits in Vicenza, Venice and Verona.
Do you want to take part? Have you registered yet? Register now for our Conference and if you want to more actively contribute apply to our call for proposals in order to put forward your most innovative ideas.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Vicenza!
