Capital city: Prishtina is the capital and largest city of Kosovo, drugstore It is the administrative center of the homonymous municipality and district. It is the administrative, educational, cultural center of Kosovo. The city is home to the University of Prishtina  and has an international airport, Pristina International airport.
Political organization: The Republic of Kosovo is an independent, sovereign, democratic, unique and indivisible state. The Republic of Kosovo is a multi-ethnic society consisting of Albanian and other Communities, governed democratically with full respect for the rule of law through its legislative, executive and judicial institutions.
Geographic facts: Kosovo is a territory in centre of Balkan Peninsula, with no access to a sea. Kosovo borders with Serbia in Northeast, Macedonia (FYROM) in South, Albania in Southwest and Montenegro in Northwest.
Total area: 10.9081 km²
Climate: The climate of Kosovo is predominantly continental, resulting in warm summers and cold winters with Mediterranean and Alpine influences (average temperature within the country range from +30 °C (summer) to –10 °C (winter)). However, due to unequal elevations in certain parts of the country, there are differences in temperature and rainfall distribution.
Rivers: Drini i Bardhe, Sitnica, Lumbardhi i Pejes, Morava e Binçes, Lepenci, Ereniku, Ibri, Lumbardhi i Prizrenit..
Mountains: Gjeravica, Bistra, Marjash, Luboteni, Koproniku, Mali i Strellcit, Mali i Lumbardhit.
Highest peak: Gjeravica at 2,565 m
Lakes: Radoniq, Batllavë, Badovc
Largest lake: Gazivodë (9,10 km²)
Larger cities: Prishtina, Prizren, Mitrovica, Peja
